Even before the globalization started, Gujaratis were spread all over the world since long. To make ourselves easily accessible, we are pleased to launch this website. Also, presently IT sector is growing by leaps & bound. So it is more timely. Of course, tremendously technology savvy young generation too was in our mind. Never before, the youth of Gujarat was adapting with modern gadgets. On this occasion, we take this opportunity to let you know that your suggestions are not only welcome, but, would be of immense value to us.

CLP Leader Biography


Before he became the CM of Gujarat, Shree Vaghela had already established ‘Samarpan Arts and Commerce College’, mainly for humanities, in 1996, with a view to bring changes in the existing system of education.
Later, as the Chief Minister of Gujarat State, by remaining committed to his objective to bring transformation in education, Shree Vaghela held the Education Portfolio under his supervision. The first thing he did was to lift a long-imposed ban on the recruitment of teachers and appointed several thousand teachers as ‘Bal Gurus’ in the villages. His government planned to provide free text books to all primary students and free electricity to all the primary schools. In the filed of higher education, 740 seats in engineering and 300 seats in pharmacy colleges were increased.
In 2008, he took up the mammoth task of establishing ‘Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village’, where, at present, degrees are offered in various fields like Engineering, Pharmacy, Management and many more courses like Dental and Medical are in the pipeline.
Today, he cherishes his forty years in active politics and philanthropy that have gifted him with tremendous love and support from gujaraties all over the globe.

  • Political Career
  • In 1964, Shree Vaghela became an active member of Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and, in 1969, joined political party ‘Jansangh’. His full-fledged political career started with the foundation of his own ‘Janta Morcho’ in 1975.
    His entire political career witnessed the most significant event when he traveled extensively with Shree Jayprakash Narayan. During the critical period of Emergency, in 1975-76, he went to jail for eleven months for the welfare of the State and Nation.
    In 1977, from Kapadwanj constituency, he got elected as the youngest MP representing Gujarat. And, in 1980, he became the first General Secretary of Bharatiya Janta Party (Gujarat). Representing BJP, he won Parliamentary elections, in 1989 and in 1991, from Gandhinagar and Godhara respectively.
    Due to sharp ideological differences, he revolted against Gujarat BJP and founded his own party ‘Rastriya Janta Party’, in 1996 and became the CM of Gujarat.
